Pesquet's Parrot

Pesquet’s Parrot, native to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea and nearby areas, is a distinctive and sizable parrot species. It boasts a striking appearance with predominantly black plumage complemented by red and yellow facial markings. This parrot’s specialized diet mainly consists of figs, and its unique bald face and beak are adapted for efficiently extracting seeds from fig fruits. However, due to habitat loss and the pet trade, Pesquet’s Parrot is classified as vulnerable, emphasizing the importance of conservation efforts to safeguard this extraordinary bird species.

White Lipped Python
